What is CRAT
What is CRAT

CRAT is  a humanitarian Organization existing to provide treatment, access to justice and rehabilitation services (counselling, medical care, psychosocial support and Mental Health care interventions) amongst people who have been traumatized as a result of war, torture and other forms of violence and human rights abuse. We also seek to raise the awareness of these issues within Cameroon and internationally, to bring pressure to bear on those in power to end torture and other human rights abuses forever.

 Brief History

CRAT has been operating in Cameroon since 2000 due to lack of resources for mental health and psychosocial care. CRAT is filling the gap and focusing on trauma and torture victims.

Newsflash!

CRAT Cameroon is a non-profit, apolitical and non-governmental organization, conscious that violence (war, inter-tribal conflict, sexual abuse, domestic violence, torture, uprooting, child abuse and other social ills) constitute very important issues in Cameroon. We feel very strongly that society must be compelled to look for permanent solutions not only to prevent, but to provide rehabilitation and restitution to the millions who have been and are still victims of violence and torture.
